Zinedine Zidane announced that he's leaving Real Madrid with immediate effect after winning the third straight European title for the club.
The club surprisingly announced a press conference in Valdebebas this morning and the French coach told the media that he won't be coaching the team next season.
Cadena SER and GOL Televisión confirmed the news that Zidane is in fact leaving Madrid.
This has been a tough season for him as the team failed to compete in La Liga and the Copa del Rey, with Zidane being critisized often.
Zinedine Zidane has become one of the most successful coaches in Real Madrid history after winning three Champions League titles, one La Liga title, two European Supercups, two FIFA Club World Cups and a Spanish Supercup in just two and a half seasons.
Real Madrid have not named Zidane's replacement and right now no candidates have been mentioned, although it looks like Guti or Mauricio Pochettino could be the ones coaching the club next season.
